What makes you unique?

Hi Subscriber,

I had to reshare it on my newsfeed …

It was so absorbing and enlightening.

I saw it on Instagram last night while I was busy scrolling away.

It was about a man who was sitting across a table with a woman and beside him, was a box full of similar products she sells.

As they were talking, he brought out her product and asked her why it was unique.

With smiles and exuding confidence; “ My product is fantastic, beautiful, and fun ” That is what makes it unique; “she answered.”

The man nodded and brought out a similar product and asked her if she saw any difference in them.

Even if you were blind, you could have sworn there was no difference. All the products on the table looked the same.

The only difference was the brand name on the labels.

But as a smart businesswoman, she replied that a single item on her product was what made it unique.

“Bullshit” the man shouted.

But do you know this is what most businesses do?

They sell the same thing as their competitors and don’t find a way to differentiate themselves.

This makes them breakable and loses customers daily because they are unable to give their customers a reason to buy from them instead of their competitors.

Unfortunately, you might be making this terrible mistake as well.

You assume because you have a fantastic or beautiful product, then everyone should be buying from you.

That is wrong!

You need to tell people what makes you better than the other person.

Is it your fast delivery? Or a free gift on every item purchased?

Whatever it is, MUST be unique.

And that is what makes a great and compelling USP (Unique Selling Proposition)

Domino Pizza is a great example of a business that understands the importance of being Unique. Here’s their USP:

“You get fresh, hot pizza delivered to your door in 30 minutes or less or it’s free.”

Your USP doesn’t have to be long just like you can see, it just needs to outrightly tell your customers why they should buy from you and no one else.

And distinctly describe how your product or service is superior to others in meeting your customer’s needs.

But for you to do this, you must make it focused on what your customers value.

It is the ONLY way to make it effective because it won't count if it is not something they want.

Anyway, if you haven’t gotten your Free Guide on how to create a compelling USP that will help your business to stand out.
